The Philips MP5 Monitor has a 8.4 inch color screen and a touch screen that is used for navigation. The unit receives patient data from its internal parameter block and displays the parameters on the screen. The unit can operate on battery or AC power and has available options for a built in recorder and wireless.
The IntelliVue MP5 provides powerful monitoring in a highly compact, highly transportable unit. It comes with a built in parameter block for a compact design . This monitor capable of connecting to a M4841A telemetry transmitter for ECG and SPO2 readings. It is capable of wireless transmission of parameters using Philip’s 1.4 gig network. The MP5 can come with Short Range Radio giving it the ability to receive parameters from Short Range Radio modules. These units are used in transport making them prone to physical damage. Common issues we see are power issues causing the unit not to power on or reboot intermittently. Other common issues include damaged LCDs and touch screens.
